Born in Los Angeles, California in 1986-- Chris Toledo began his artist career at a very young age, learning the basics from his mother; an artist from Rosario, Argentina. As he grew, he began to develop an interest in other fields of art such as Graphic Design, Photography, and Sculpting. By age 14, Chris began designing websites for friends/family and quickly developed his own small web-design company, upgrading his customers to local business owners and stores. During his senior year of High School, Chris organized the first SHHS Art Show (Where other students in the school could have a chance to show their own artwork and learn about the art world), which later earned him the SHHS Art Department Award. During this time, Chris was also developing his own style in painting. Using recycled materials like wood, paint, and plaster left over from his fathers contracting business and mixing it with knowledge of graphic design, photography, and sculpting to create the 3-dimensional, bold, captivating paintings you see today.
In 2008, Chris moved to Downtown Los Angeles to become part of the ever-growing underground art scene. A year later, opening up his own solo gallery in the center of Downtown's Art-walk. In 2014, Chris is still living in Downtown Los Angeles, working as a Painter, Photographer, and Graphic Designer.
